On May 19, 2017, the Minister of Industry of Ethiopia, Mr. Ahmed Abtew and the Minister of Science and Technology and Chairman of the Board of the National Electricity Distribution Network, Mr.Eng.Getahun Makuria, were invited to visit Changgao Group for in-depth communication and cooperation. Wang Hai-mei, the Director of Division of American and Oceanian Affairs of Department pf Commerce of Hunan and Zeng Yangzi, who comes from Division of Western Asian and African Affairs of Department of Commerce of Hunan accompanied two Ministers to visit to Changgao .

The CEO of Changgao Group, Ma Xiao and related leaders of the Group’s subsidiaries warmly welcome the arrival of Ethiopian guests and the staff of the Department of Commerce in the Golden State Industrial Park. The two Ministers visited the leading digital automatic production workshop and listened to the introduction of the Group's development process, industrial layout, equipment manufacturing and "Going abroad" in recent years. In the focus on understanding the development of the different sections, the two ministers of Ethiopia expressed their praise on the strength of products development and manufacturing, and also expressed their interest and support to the cooperation projects on capacity between Ethiopia and Changgao Group.

The two ministers visiting the Changgao group is a part of Ethiopian Prime Minister Haier Mariam and his delegation participating in the "The Belt and Road" and related economic and trade activities, and also a part of the "Hunan-Ethiopia Investment Cooperation Meeting". The Ethiopian Prime Minister, Mr.Hailemariam Desalegn, Deputy Secretary of Hunan Provincial Committee and Governor Xu Dazhe, Vice Governor He Baoxiang, and Changgao Group and other representatives of the enterprises attended the investment cooperation meeting.

“The Belt and Road” has been put out for already four years. Energy, as an important and basic issue of the strategy, has reached a fruitful situation. Under the guideline of “Develop the electricity first”, the electric industry of the related countries are welcoming the new waves of development. Changgao Group is actively accelerating the internationalization of its business and  integration of its industry chain. Changgao Group not only set its offices in Philippines, Laos and some other countries in Central and Western Africa. At present, the international business of Changgao Group has developed in a high speed, and its business scope has expanded to overseas investment, EPC projects, plan and consultation, equipment supplying and cooperation on capacity and so on.  

In recent years, the Ethiopian government is actively committed to the implementation of industry-led economic development strategy to encourage the development of export-oriented and import alternative industries. During the planning period, the Ethiopian government will continue to increase investment in infrastructure, such as roads, electricity, railways, roads, energy, telecommunications and housing, and power construction. There is a huge demand in these fields.

At the same time, China's related industries are facing the problem of relatively excessive capacity, thus the related equipments and production are in good qualities and low prices. In this complementary context, the China-Egyptian production capacity cooperation will not only benefit the economic development of Ethiopia, but also better promote the Chinese enterprises to go abroad to achieve mutual benefit and win-win situation.

Under the guideline of “The Belt and Road”, Changgao Group, as one of key enterprises of Chinese enterprises, would actively explore the future of the renewable energy, implement a series of projects of renewable energy of the related countries and improve the local electric situation. We believe that a network of energy of the region would be gradually developed in the future.
