On October 4, Changgao Group signed a MOU with Electricite Du Laos on an 115kV transmission line project in Vientiane, Laos. Mr. Bounoum, CEO of EDL and Mr.Li Guo, the authorized person of Changgao Group signed on the MOU. Mr. Ma Xiao, CEO of Changgao Group and Dr. Daovong, general secretary together witnessed the signing ceremony.

The transmission line project is located in Champasak province, which is in the south of Laos, and EDL appointed Changgao Group to be in charge of conducting the Feasibility Study, EPC project and its corresponding financing plan.

Under the great strategy of The Belt and Road, Changgao Group makes active responses and stretches overseas market, which uses Changgao International as its overseas market platform with guidelines of utilizing the nation's strategy and self-marketing. To greatly penetrate into the local transmission and renewable energy markets, Changgao Group has set up its representative offices in several countries in Southeast Asia and Africa. This cooperation with EDL is a sign of that Changgao Group, with its brand effect and good service, firstly enters the overseas market of major electricity EPC project after its pilot project of a 69 kV substation in Philippines in 2016.

In recent years, with more and more close relationship between China and Laos, there is an obvious increase in the economy as well as its demand on electricity in Laos. The signing of the MOU between Changgao Group and EDL plays an active role to promote the economy of Laos.
